Frequently Asked Questions about C4C
Q- Is this workshop designed primarily for relationships that are “on the rocks”?
A-The C4C workshops are designed to help relationships regardless of their health or stage. Our alumni vary from pre-marital couples to those married more than 50 years. All have rated the workshops highly.
Q- Is this workshop for Christian couples only?
A- The workshop is open to all, regardless of religious affiliation. We do however, present the materials from a Christian perspective and ask that attendees respect the same.
Q- How much of this workshop is lecture vs. exercise?
A- The workshop is presented in a series of brief presentations, each followed by an exercise for couples to complete together.
Q- What happens if we get stuck in one of these exercises?
A- Facilitators will be available to help couples understand the exercise.
Q- Will couples be required to share thoughts or feelings with other couples or with the group?
A- No. Participants will not be required to share with other couples or with the group. All exercises are private and done alone with your partner - in places scattered around the church.
Q- Will breakfast and / or lunch be provided at the workshop?
A- Coffee, water, and some snacks will be provided throughout the workshop. On Saturday we will provide a modest lunch or couples may choose to bring their own lunch.
Q- How long does the workshop last?
A- The 2-day workshop schedule is :
Friday- 12:00-5:00pm (Registration is at 12-12:30 pm)
Saturday- 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Q- What is EFT and how effective is it?
A- "Created for Connection" is based on EFT, the most successful couple therapy model developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. Numerous solid research studies substantiate EFT's effectiveness. These studies find that “70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.” (Source)Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
